4th of July (Bristol, RI & Wakefield, MA)

Today was tons of fun! We woke up early to play for the TV thing that I posted about earlier today and then we went and marched in 2 parades. The first one was in Bristol, RI and the second one was in Wakefield, MA. We played our Earth Wind and Fire Medley (September and Lets Groove Tonight) on our routes 27 times today! It was quite possibly the most fun ive had in parades ever! The strictness of the parade was very lax and they allowed us to cut loose and grove when we were at halts. I think both parades together were around 10 miles or so...

When we were done with the first parade in Bristol, we took yellow school busses back to our charter busses and ate. When we got on the bus to go to the second parade in Mass, I fell asleep and was really groggy! Bad idea...

We when we got to the end of the second parade, we were presented with the 'Best Drum Corps in the Parade' award. The other corps were Citations, Teal Sound, Crossmen, Boston Crusaders, and The Cadets. The crowd absoutely loved us!

After both parades were over, we got out of uniforms and then we got to eat off all the other corps' food trucks! It was interestng to try everyone else's food... I really enjoyed mingling with the other corps for a couple hours.

Anyways... We are headed to Clifton, NJ now... So ill let you guys know how that goes tomorrow!

Happy 4th of July!
Later days,
Patrick
