Rain Rain Go Away (Columbia, SC)

We had another rehearsal day today at Irmo High School. We learned some drill changes in Hungarian Rhapsody and Barber of Seville that should help make things a lot cleaner. During our brass sectional block we had to leave rehearsal early because of lightning. Then during ensemble, we had to go under the stadium to dodge a lightning storm. We eventually got our from under the stadium and was able to rehearse. The staff decided to tag an extra hour and a half on to our evening ensemble time so that we could utilize the larger stadum and make our show even cleaner for the regonal in Orlando on Saturday.

I wish that it would stop raining and storming every day. Tomorrow we have a show in Valdosta, GA and then Saturday is the regional! Hopefully we can stay dry...

I am really looking forward to having a show tomorrow because we haven't had one in a few days...

Off to bed...
Later days,
Patrick

Wow...you guys just can't seem to avoid the rain, can you?? Sorry your show got rained out, that really sucks, but at least you guys got some drill cleaned. Ha, and don't you love it when they put you under the METAL bleachers in a LIGHTNING storm?-because obviously that's the most logical thing to do...they used to pull that one on us in guard, with that instructor that hated our guts...but marching in the rain is fun...as long as you don't run the risk of being BBQ'd. So, good luck at your show tomorrow!! Oh, and BTW- i've improved greatly on my snap...you would be proud... Ya just gotta think loosey-goosey, baby!!
