Our day was very fast paced. We started out in ensemble so that we could dodge any rain that might come our way. We rehearsed all morning and then we did our run-through before lunch. By the time that we were done, I was completely drenched in sweat.
It was extremely humid today and there was not much cloud coverage. Around lunchtime the storm clouds came and it rained on us for an hour or so. We had an indoor technique block with our visual caption head and we got to relax and visualize our show (sleep) for a half hour before we started working on the marching part of rehearsal.
Overall today was a really great day. The vibe was really positive all day and we brought everything that we had to the field tonight. We played America the Beautiful with the Cadets and we were standing next to them when it was announced that we beat them.
Tonight proves something very important to the drum corps community: Carolina Crown is capable of breaking into the top and may actually have a shot at winning this year! It is really hard to grasp that concept right now... so I wont talk too much about it. All that we can do as individuals is to continue to take ownership in our show and to work hard to clean what we can in the time that we have left. We have 4 weeks tll finals...
Off to bed!
Later days,
Patrick

Congrats on the win over the Cadets.
Just watching the Orlando replay feature on Fan Network. GOD this is an awesome show.
Crown can push into the top 3 this year and I honestly believe you could take the Jim Ott, definitely got a great brass book and a FANTASTIC brass sound!
